Blogging
That is one of the many definitions for blogging. I guess you could call it journalism, but I think that is a little extreme to me. Most of the people that I know who have blogs, certainly are journalists. They maybe good at storytelling with the ability to write fairly well.
Blogs Are Commentaries
My experience with blogs is that they seem to be more of one person’s opinion on a subject that is pretty popular. I am not knocking this, but sometimes I believe that some bloggers tend to exaggerate a bit. There are quite a few that tell it like it is, which are really the good ones. I think that you need to do your own research to determine if you agree or disagree with the blogger.
Blog Categories
If there is a subject to discuss, there is a blog about it. Whether it is photography, internet marketing, space travel, you get the idea. Someone is out there writing about it. Most blogs are textual, but others are art blog, photo blog, video blog, mp3 blog, and pod casting. Microblogging is another type of blogging, which features very short posts.
Blogging Popularity
I would say that blogging is very popular. Last count there was 112,000,000 blogs that Technorati is tracking. The list gets longer everyday. Are you the next Stephen King? Well maybe not that gruesome or that type of author, but you could be a great at blogging.
